Working alongside my patients to help them achieve their goals is fulfilling, and I’m grateful to be part of their journey.
Hello, I’m Joelle, a physiotherapist with a passion for helping individuals affected by neurological conditions. My career path was solidified during a placement at Concept Physiotherapy in 2022, where I knew I wanted to specialize in neuro physiotherapy. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Guelph-Humber and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. I have completed the IBITA certified Basic Bobath Course for neurological assessment and treatment. I also have a certificate in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy for neurological conditions, and have completed training in Aquatic Therapy Foundations.
In addition to my work at Concept Physio, I also work in in-patient rehabilitation for individuals affected by stroke and acquired brain injury.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me travelling, trying out new experiences, or diving into craft projects like sewing, knitting, and crocheting.

Hi, I’m Ruth. Life-long learning is my passion and with this, I hope to help you achieve your goals
I have worked as a physiotherapist in neurology for 25 years. I completed my Bachelor of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy and my Master of Science at McMaster University. I began my physiotherapy career at Toronto Rehab-Rumsey Centre in the outpatient neurology program. I then worked at the Toronto Western Hospital in a neurosurgery/neurology acute inpatient setting. I continued to pursue my interest in outpatient neurological physiotherapy at The Credit Valley Hospital and privately in the community. I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and develop the ability to network with community resources to help clients re-integrate into their community. My post graduate research examined how to increase adherence to home walking practice for neuroplasticity and motor learning to occur. I have completed post graduate courses for certification as a Facial Therapist, in advanced Neurological Developmental Techniques (NDT), and in advanced level training in the Bobath Concept.
Over the last 2 years, I have been teaching theory and practical skill labs at Humber Polytechnic in the OTA/PTA Program, and enjoy sharing my knowledge, experiences and passion with the students.
Outside of work, I enjoy creating delicious meals for my family, and when I can find the time, playing the piano and painting.

I’m always amazed by the resilience and determination of the people we see at Concept. Their example inspires me inside and outside of work.
Hello, I’m Casey! I’ve been a Physiotherapy Assistant for 6 years. I graduated from the OTA/PTA Program at Humber College in 2018 and worked in musculoskeletal physiotherapy before I received an opportunity to work in the neurological field at Concept. I have always been fascinated by the body’s ability to heal after neurological trauma and had several interesting experiences in outpatient and inpatient neurological placements.
The staff at Concept has helped me to better appreciate the application of the Bobath Method of treatment and the hard work of our clients has had a large impact on my perspective as well.
When I’m not at work I love seeing live music, hiking, going to museums, and starting big baking projects. I would be happy to talk your ear off about anything food related!

Seeing our clients on a regular basis throughout their individual journey allows us to form connections with them and their support team. Together we celebrate their successes and work together to find solutions to any setbacks
Hi, I’m Laura! I’ve been a physiotherapist for 10 years, focusing mainly on neurological rehabilitation. I’m passionate about helping people regain their confidence and independence through functional rehabilitation.
I earned my Undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Rehabilitation Science from Queen’s University and completed my Physiotherapy degree at the University of Toronto. I started my career at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, working primarily with Spinal Cord Injuries, Brain Injuries, and in Complex Continuing Care. I’ve taken post-graduate courses in the Bobath Concept, which have provided me with a solid theoretical framework and improved my skills to provide the best treatment for my patients. I’m also GLA:D certified, which enables me to prescribe exercise for people with hip and knee osteoarthritis.
Additionally, I’ve worked in the Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Clinic at Toronto General Hospital, gaining experience with connective tissue disorders, hypermobility, and chronic pain. Currently, I work part-time at Concept, in a Geriatric Falls Program in Oakville, and have casual roles in home care and stroke rehabilitation. I love having various roles in my community, as it helps me become a more well-rounded therapist.
Outside of work, I’m busy with my three young children and our 13-year-old dog, Willie. I enjoy cooking and crafting, often with my little helpers when they cooperate!

Hello, my name is Chris. I have been a physiotherapy assistant with Concept Physio since I joined the team in 2020.
I am an internationally trained physiotherapist from Manila, Philippines. This is where I gained valuable experience as a physiotherapist in both hospitals and private clinics. I have experience working with a wide variety of clients, including neurological, orthopedic, and geriatrics. These experiences have honed my skills in various treatments, from muscle re-education, range of motion exercises, strengthening, and gait training to help restore function and independence.
My skills go beyond knowledge and technical ability. I prioritize educating and explaining treatments to our clients and answering any questions they have. I always take the time to speak with each patient, and make sure they feel comfortable and confident in their treatment session.
I am also currently working at Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital and am continuing to work to obtain my license as a registered physiotherapist in Canada.
When I am not at work I love to go to the gym, play basketball with my daughter, and spend time with my family.
